Computational thinking (CT) is a timeless, transferable skill that enables you to think more clearly and logically, as well as a way to solve specific problems.

Beginning with the core ideas of computational thinking, with this book you'll build up an understanding of the practical problem-solving approach and explore how computational thinking aids good practice in software development, giving you a head start on the road to becoming an effective programmer. Exercises are included at the end of every chapter, along with a full guided example at the end of the book.

• Grasp the core concepts of computational thinking

• Discover how to use computational thinking to get started with software development

• Build up your knowledge and test your understanding of each chapter with exercises

• Suitable for pupils studying computer science at GCSE, A-level and beyond
